Abstract

|
It is important to distinguish uterine lesions from other lesions occurring in the pelvic cavity for the proper management. The primary radiological evaluation of uterine lesions is performed using transvaginal ultrasonography, and if the lesion is too large or shows atypical benign imaging findings, magnetic resonance imaging should be performed. Analyzing radiological findings of uterine lesions through a pattern recognition approach can help establish the accurate diagnosis and treatment plan.
In this pictorial assay, we describe imaging characteristics of various lesions arising from the uterus and evaluate them based on the pattern recognition approach.
